“Why do you eat with tax collectors and sinners” (Luke 5:27-32)

This week’s Scripture lessons have focused on following Christ. One of the challenging things about discipleship is the Jesus sometimes calls the people we least expect.

Often they are not the people we want to be associated with. Levi, the tax collector in Luke 5:27-32, was a good example. Fortunately, Jesus knows things we do not, and we need to have the humility to see others the way he does.
