Mardi Gras and Ash Wednesday thank you

First Christian Church’s Mardi Gras dinner and Ash Wednesday services both went very well. We had the largest turnout we have had in a few years. The games, food, and fellowship of Mardi Gras, as well the solemn beauty of last night’s worship were made possible by the efforts of many people.

Debbie Crane and Janice Barney did an amazing job with the decorations. Eddie and Tracy Pope, Eric Basham, and Brian Merritt cooked a great meal. Kim and Jansen Williams handled games and the music. Danny Fraser ensured that the technology worked and the space was ready to go.

Today we give thanks for everyone in our congregation and for our friends from First Presbyterian Church who joined us both nights. It is amazing how much we can accomplish when the body of Christ works together as one.
