Spirituality and existentialism

Back home in Missouri

After 3,248.2 miles of riding, on Tuesday afternoon, July 26, I crossed the bridge back into Missouri.

Spending two weeks with family and friends after saying goodbye to dad was incredibly healing. We got a chance to reconnect, shared stories with each other, and along the way I got a chance to learn things about parts of his life I had never known.

There is still a lot to digest. I will share more in the next few days, but for now I am incredibly grateful for all the time with people I love.

Wednesday, July 27, was my first day back in the office. I triaged my email, planned worship, and spent the afternoon visiting. It was wonderful to hear about how well things have gone while I was away. Huge thanks to Deborah Aldrich Watson and Annemarie Long for preaching. Thanks to the elders for handling the ministry of the church. Kellie and the volunteers from SEMO Electric got the last rounds of bags distributed for Feeding Christ’s Children and Kim and Danny kept things going smoothly at the building.
