“Who is this who even forgives sins?” (Luke 7:49)

Psalm 36 proclaims the justice and righteousness of God. In Luke 7:36-50 Jesus reminds Simon that God’s righteousness includes the forgiveness of sins.

He demonstrates that forgiveness to a woman who has thrown herself at his feet. Her faith saved her, just as our faith in Christ can save us.
