Are you smarter than a third grader?

Prove it.

Answer this: who is Jesus?

Our baptismal students can answer this question. Can you? In the first sermon of this summer series Bobby Garner will tell us all there is to know about the one Christians worship as Lord and Savior.

Scripture

“This very day in David’s town your Savior was born–Christ the Lord!” (Luke 2:11)

First Sweet Truth

Jesus–That’s our English spelling of his name. In the language of his time, they called Jesus, “Yeshua.” It means, “God is Savior.” We believe what the bible teaches about Jesus. He is God’s special Son, our Savior, Lord and Christ. He taught us wonderful things about God and our lives.

Jesus healed people and helped them in many ways. Finally, because of fear and jealousy, people had Jesus arrested and killed upon a very painful cross. But three days later, God made him alive again on the first Easter day. Now, he lives forever and rules with God from Heaven. Jesus loves us VERY much, and he wants us to live in faith, hope, and love!
