March 26, 2020 Pastoral Check In
The first case of COVID19 has been confirmed in Stoddard County. As people of faith, we have the assurance that the present reality is not the end of the story. Hebrews 11 presents a litany of people who show us the hope that faith can provide.
Our faith equips us to offer this same hope to others. Hope is visible all around the community of Dexter. Bear hunts are lifting people’s spirits. Volunteers are providing for the needs of medical personnel. Members of our church are sharing the peace of Christ by phone, today we are reaching out to the letters D and Q.
This is precisely what we mean when we say the church is not a building. The Holy Spirit is at work, even in this time.
