Man’s Search for Meaning

First semester assignment: Man’s Search for Meaning video presentation

Central Methodist University: Introduction to Clinical Counseling

Dr. Andrew Benesh, Fall 2023

Assignment criteria: As part of our introduction to clinical counseling we were assigned Viktor Frankl’s book, Man’s Search for Meaning. We were asked to reflect on his premise that the search for meaning is humanity’s primary psychological motivation. Additionally, we were asked about the ways one’s perception of hope impacts one’s ability to thrive, or not, under dire circumstances. Finally, we considered his idea of logotherapy and how the concepts of joy and suffering relate to the counseling process.
