Local athletes have begun practicing for fall sports. The football jamboree begins tonight at 6 p.m. There is a lot of training, practice, and coaching necessary to get teams ready for competition.
The same thing is true for our faith. Christianity takes practice. We need the exercise of prayer, worship, and healthy spiritual nourishment to develop into mature disciples.
Today we pray for both our student athletes and those seeking to follow Jesus more faithfully.
