“All these gifts come from the same Spirit” (1 Corinthians 12:11)
1 Corinthians 12:4-11 describes the many gifts Christians bring to their service in the church. Quite simply, the church does not work unless we have a diversity of skills and talents at work.
As part of the Regional Commission on the Order of Ministry (RCOM) I have been able to see candidates developing their gifts for ministry. In our local congregation we have the same variety of gifts at work, and our church is stronger when everyone shares what they have to offer as part of the one body of Christ.
Today we thank God for that diversity of gifts and pray for the guidance and strength to do what we have been called to do.
